I realized after a long time that I need to invest in this comic because Xanny’s story needs to be told. I’m not going to promise anything because by doing that I’ll only let a lot of you down, but I’ve been trying to get back into the groove of things and writing a brand new manuscript for the comic.
One of the biggest challenges I have right now is to update the story to fit all the things that I’ve experienced in my life. Xanny’s Curse is all about my personal perception of life, as do others webcomic artists’ creations, and I want it to be true to who I am today and also honor the parts of myself that have contributed to the various things that have occurred and will occur in Xanny’s Curse.
In addition to the story, I will be addressing one of the biggest nagging complaints with the comic: Character design. I don’t think I’ll be changing Xandy all too much, but I feel that the cast needs to be rounded out a bit more and be more recognizable from one another. I’m not sure how I’m going to do that yet, but
Finally, this means we’re gonna have another reboot in our hands. It sucks that I keep doing this, but I feel that I can craft a much more meaningful storyline this time around now that I’m actually writing a lot of it on paper. I’m well aware that a whole lot of nothing occurred in the first few pages of the story, and I intend to rectify that in the new version of it… again, respecting the old versions of the story. Don’t worry… the old version will be available this time.
I do want to take this time to thank you for everyone who’s been checking out the comic and hope that you’ll be here when the redesign of the main site happens and when the new pages start showing up. Thanks again, and sorry that I’m such a huge procrastinator

So I’ve been playing a lot of Ouendan 2 lately since I just recently repurchased my Nintendo DS and found one of the songs in the game fascinating - namely, the song in the video embedded above.
While I still felt that The Brilliant Green’s “Rainy Days, Never Stays” still represents Xanny’s Curse to its fullest, I felt that Hitomi Yaida’s “Go My Way” took this similar idea and put in a more positive spin and made it ridiculously super bubbly and happy. The Brilliant Green’s song has a place towards the end of the series, but to jump start the series, I felt that it had to be accompanied by something really happy sounding and upbeat. It represents the ridiculous yet normal nature of the challenges Xanny, now Xandy, faces in his new environment, and speaks of what the future may bring.

So how did you all like the new page? I hope you guys enjoy how we’re still keeping the tension of the situation even though we haven’t updated the comic in a while.
In any case, we wanted to talk about continuity in Xanny’s Curse, the character designs, and story plans. Don’t worry — we won’t be revealing spoilers in this post. We just wanted to give you guys an idea of where Xanny’s Curse is at in this point in time and to give you all an idea of what you may or may not see.

Ever since the beginning of this story, one of the primary driving forces of the creation of the various elements and events in Xanny’s Curse stem from the music that came out at the time.
During the period when Xanny’s Curse finally had its own official site, there was one song that has since become the unofficial theme song for Xanny’s Curse. That song is “Rainy Days Never Stays” by the brilliant green.

Hello again everyone, how’s your week been?
Well, it’s been exactly a week since I updated this blog and much has changed in Xanny’s Curse behind the scenes since I updated this.
For starters, we now have the next set of pages planned out. This is, in Xandy hours, all the way up past lunch time. Time has been somewhat of a theme for Xanny’s Curse, both in the actual narrative itself and its actual production and we felt that we should really pick up the pace of the series as soon as our new artist and co-writer took the reigns.

On Sunday after we taped our TWiGaME and The Review Club episodes for Games and ME, our co-writer and artist sat down to discuss the specifics of the Xanny’s Curse storyline from beginning to end. This is a mean feat to accomplish - after all, how many webcomics out there have already a defined start, middle, and end?
We decided that since we were going to be preparing for the inevitable return of Xanny’s Curse that we should separate some of the blogging elements of Xanny’s Curse from the actual comic itself. That way, we can show you more on what it takes to actually revive a webcomic and what it’s taken us to think of in order to make this transition of artists and writers as seamless as possible. Don’t worry though… I, Xanny, will still oversee everything that goes on the webcomic site itself and of course whatever goes on in this blog.
So early on, I wanted to give the fans an insight as to how we operate here at Xanny’s Curse. Currently, we have an artist and a co-writer who will be creating the art and providing the necessary elements that I felt was lacking in the original version. In this post, we will be focusing on how we’re transitioning the art from what currently is shown on the webcomic site to the new style that we’ll be using soon.
